Don't Replace — Repair

Fence Repair Virginia Beach

Post replacement, panel rebuilds, gate realignment, and storm damage repair. We match your existing fence style and extend the life of your investment. Often half the cost of a full replacement.

What We Fix

Most fence problems don't require a full rebuild. We assess, quote, and fix — saving you money.

Post Replacement

Rotten or leaning posts are the #1 fence failure in Hampton Roads. We extract the old post, set a new 4×4 ground-contact post 36″ deep in concrete, and reattach your existing panels. Looks like new.

Panel Rebuilds

Storms, rot, and age damage sections of fence. We rebuild individual panels — new rails, new pickets, matched to your existing style. No need to replace the whole fence for one bad section.

Gate Realignment

Gates sag, hinges rust, and latches stop catching. We realign, replace hardware, or rebuild the gate frame. Self-closing springs and lockable latches available for pool compliance.

Storm Damage

Hurricanes and nor'easters take a toll on fences. We assess damage, document for insurance if needed, and rebuild fast. Same materials, same quality, back to normal.

Rail Replacement

Broken or sagging rails compromise the whole panel. We replace 2×4 rails with pressure-treated lumber, re-nail pickets, and check adjacent posts for hidden rot.

Picket Replacement

Individual broken or missing pickets? We match the size (1×4 or 1×6) and style (dog-ear, flat-top, gothic) to blend seamlessly with your existing fence.

Typical Repair Costs

Every repair is different. These are ballpark ranges based on what we see most often in Hampton Roads.

Single post replacement — $150–250

Includes extracting the old post (or cutting it off below grade), digging a new 36″ hole, setting a 4×4 ground-contact post in two 50lb concrete bags, and reattaching the existing panel. Price varies if the post is in a tight corner or behind landscaping.

8-foot panel rebuild — $300–450

New 2×4 rails, new pickets matched to existing, and new fasteners. If posts are rotten, add post replacement cost. Price depends on picket size (1×4 vs 1×6) and whether the panel is on flat ground or a slope.

Walk gate rebuild — $200–350

New gate frame (2×4 pressure-treated), new pickets, new hinges and latch. If the gate post is rotten, add post replacement. Self-closing spring hinges add $25–40.
